Job Overview
We are seeking a committed Database Specialist to join our impactful team. This remote position offers you the chance to contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing community welfare through effective donor relations. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing and organizing donor information to support our organization’s initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record donations, ensuring accurate coding, logging, and entry of donor and gift details into our database.
- Assist in generating acknowledgment letters and year-end tax receipts utilizing our donor management system.
- Oversee the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring its optimal functionality and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy Department on gift entry tracking and uphold data integrity through meticulous coordination with the accounting team.
- Enter designations for agencies and prepare associated reports.
- Partner with the Database Administrator to create and implement strategies for pledge reminders and thank-you communications.
- Support Online Express donation and event page forms, including tracking functionality.
- Generate customized reports and lists for direct mail, email campaigns, and other Philanthropy Team requests.
- Facilitate Volunteer Management System entries as needed.
- Engage in fundraising campaigns as directed.
- Manage lists for individuals opting out of mail/email solicitations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for the major donor lifecycle and collaborate with staff to identify data capture needs.
- Assist during special events, tracking donations and sponsors, managing attendee lists, and providing support during setup and execution phases.
- Work alongside the Database Administrator to ensure database policies and procedures are current and train relevant personnel on Raiser's Edge functions.
- Uphold a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficient understanding of administrative and clerical processes.
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar donor management software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least one year of data entry experience; an Associate’s degree is preferred with six months of relevant experience.
